Writing – Day 2

I am happy to announce that my second day of writing was much more productive than my first.  Though I was just as busy I did manage to get my words done for the day and made up for the ones I did not get written on Monday night.  Hunter supervised from his “pink bed” next to the computer, making sure I did not get sucked back into Facebook or emails.

Writing the first draft without worrying about things that are misspelled, run-on sentences and picking just the perfect word really make it easier to get things down on paper.  With my writing for PWC and blogging I have found that once I have something down on paper it is much easier for me to figure out what I am trying to say and polish what is there.

Right now I am sitting at 2515 words written.  I had my iTunes playing a Genius playlist made from selecting “The Kill” from 30 Seconds to Mars.  I have found that the heavier rock and metal music actually make it easier for me to drown out all of the distractions and leap to my writing consciousness.
